A very fine George II style crossband bureau cabinet. It made of wood, finished in walnut. The upper section has a domed architectural cornice centered by a carved crest above two arched panel doors which open to reveal thirty-eight drawers and twenty-four pigeon holes. candle stands separates the hinged door bureau section , opens to reveal a leather fabric inset writing board drawers, a central cupboard and pigeon holes. Below, eight drawers enclosing a knee hole cupboard and drawer flanked by mounted pilasters.
This secretaire very hard to made, two artistes spend two and half days only finished one sceretaire.
